Children and Youth

Youth Groups
(for grades 6 - 12)
The Staten Island Episcopal Church Youth Group offers young people a supportive and welcoming space to build friendships, deepen their faith, and experience a strong sense of community. In this loving environment, everyone is encouraged to be their authentic selves.
Our Youth Group offers a variety of activities, including fellowship, fun, and service opportunities. Highlights include a joint picnic in the spring, a spirited game day in the fall, and service projects such as volunteering at one of our Episcopal food pantries or packing holiday food baskets. A favorite event is the Youth Lock-in, an overnight gathering at one of our parishes filled with fun, food, and faith formation.
Middle and high school students are invited to participate in any of these events. You do not need to be a member of a parish to join. All activities are chaperoned by adult church leaders who are trained in Safe Church practices. We also encourage the involvement of parents and guardians.
If you're interested in joining Youth Group, let us know by sending a message through our Contact Us link.
Sunday School
One of the greatest gifts of being part of a church community is the opportunity to build intergenerational relationships, where youth and adults come together to experience the love of God. The Episcopal Church is dedicated to providing opportunities for spiritual growth at all stages of life.
Our churches offer formation for the youngest members through Sunday School and youth formation activities, as well as opportunities for adults through Bible study and book discussions.
Sunday School lays a strong foundation of faith for children and youth, helping them cultivate a relationship with God and an ability to apply the lessons of the Gospel to their lives. It creates a fun, safe environment where children can learn about God and build relationships with friends and trusted adults.
If you're interested in enrolling your child in Sunday School, please reach out to your local Episcopal parish for more information. You can find contact details here.
